Rising Star Carson Kvapil To Make Truck Series Debut at Bristol Motor Speedway

CARS Tour driver Carson Kvapil is set to make his Truck Series debut in tonight’s UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway where he will drive the No. 7 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports.

The twenty-year-old from Mooresville, North Carolina is the son of former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, and 2003 series champion, Travis Kvapil

Kvapil currently competes full-time in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour where he drives the No. 8 car for JR Motorsports which is co-owned by former full-time NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. He currently leads in the CARS Tour championship standings and has five wins through the first 12 races of the 2023 season and  also competes part-time in the ARCA Menards series driving the No. 28 Chevrolet Camaro for Pinnacle Racing Group. Kvapil is also part of the Drivers Edge Development Program which is a driver development program formed as a collaboration between Chevrolet,  JR Motorsports, and GMS Racing

His father, Travis started nearly 500 races across all three national divisions between 2001 and 2019, including 271 in the NASCAR Cup Series. Along with the 2003 Truck title, Travis Kvapil also won nine Truck Series races.

In his rookie season in the CARS Tour Series, Carson Kvapil took home both the driver and owner championships after winning four races in 2022. 

Kvapil started his racing career in 2013 driving Bandolero cars before moving up to the U.S. Legend Cars in 2016 where he only stayed for a single season before moving on to Outlaw Karts dirt track racing at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina. Before joining JR Motorsports in 2022, Kvapil raced for his dad’s family-owned team from 2019-2021. 

Kvapil is set to take the green flag in the 27th position for tonight’s race which is currently getting ready to drop the green flag. You can watch the UNOH 200 on FS1.
